Pound Cake Recipe
Buttermilk Pound Cake
3 cups flour
3 cups sugar
3 sticks butter, soft
5 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tbs vanilla
Preheat oven to 325F.
Stir flour, salt and baking soda in a mixing bowl. In another bowl, blend butter and sugar together until smooth. Keep beating on low, while adding 1 egg at a time. Add vanilla and stir through.
Add flour and buttermilk slowly, adding a small portion of each alternately until the ingredients are all combined. Pour batter into a greased Bundt pan. Bake for 70 to 75 minutes.
