Banana Cake Ingredients

½ cup butter
1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ salt
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
¾ cup ripe banana, mashed
¼ cup sour cream
½ tsp vanilla

Banana Cake Directions

Preheat oven to 350F

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a mixing bowl. In a larger bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth and well blended. Continue beating as you add the egg, bananas, sour cream and vanilla.

Stir in the flour mixture until combined, but don't over-stir. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top becomes golden.
